The TIF TEAM

We are Destiny and Devonte Bennett! However, most recognize us as Mama and Papa Bennett, an Early Childhood Education Major and Marine Corps Veteran both turned Intentional parenting and marriage educators, coaches, advocates and authors throughout our ten years of marriage and parenting, we've encountered and conquered many groundbreaking and life changing lessons that led us to develop our life based and research backed teachings. 

 

As a couple who started their family at a very young age, no one could have truly prepared us for how difficult it is to learn to peacefully, productively and happily co-exist with your spouse and children. For years we lived in a constant state of survival, just trying to navigate a path towards having a thriving marriage and family.

 

For many years, we were unhappy, disconnected, and border-lining divorce, with no actual plan for how we wanted to raise our children, all while projecting all of that trauma and instability onto our kids.  Misguided, we made a lot of mistakes and experienced a great deal of trial and error before we successfully found the path we had desperately been looking for. This unconventional path was rooted in intentionality, secure attachment, unlearning toxic thought processes and healing generational and childhood traumas.

 

Through our life based teachings, TIF was born, helping us carry out our passion to share the tools that helped us thrive in our marriage and develop a parenting style that promotes respect, empathy, authenticity and a secure bond.

That Intentional Family is a hub and safe space for  families like ourselves to find community, support and opportunities to learn and grow.
