A Bit About Me
At 30 years old, as a proud Moorish American, I aim to embody the ethos of discipline, leadership, and community service through my dedication to both family and martial arts. Married for 12 years, my wife and I are the proud parents of three energetic sons, whom I strive to raise under the guiding principles of Marine Corps philosophies and the teachings of Okinawan Shuri Ryu karate, in which he holds a black belt.
My journey has been shaped by his commitment to instilling warrior ethics and philosophies in young men, empowering them to become responsible leaders and outstanding citizens. I believe that true strength lies in character, that being said I passionately advocate for the importance of values like respect, honor, and resilience. Through engagement programs, books and online resources I focus on mentoring young men, aiming to cultivate their leadership skills and encourage civic responsibility.
While I was in school I studied the critical role that fathers play in their children's lives, especially our sons’. Ive since dedicates time to educate and support fathers on how to actively engage with their sons, promoting positive behaviors and becoming the role models that young boys need. My mission is not just about physical strength and martial prowess; it’s about nurturing the next generation of leaders who will carry forth these values into their communities.
With every parenting workshop, martial arts class, and community event, I use my personal testimony to the power of mentorship, resilience, and commitment, inspiring families to forge stronger bonds and a brighter future.
My Expertise
With five years of dedicated service in the Marine Corps, including three years as a work center supervisor, I have honed my skills in leadership, training, and harnessing individual potential. My experience involves leading Marines through a diverse array of aviation maintenance missions, physical training sessions, and martial arts programs.
As a black belt in Okinawa Shuri Ryu Karate, I am passionate about training young men and women in martial arts, helping them cultivate both mental and physical strength through a comprehensive training regimen.
I also take great pride in raising my three sons, for whom I draw on my experience to foster their development and growth. Each of them excels in their respective fields of study and demonstrates exceptional character and manners, standing out among their peers. My journey has allowed me to empower others and inspire the next generation to reach their highest potential.
Why It Matters
During my college years, I pursued a degree in psychology with a specific focus on fatherhood. Throughout my studies, I unearthed a pressing issue that often goes unaddressed: the critical role that fathers and positive male role models play in the lives of children. Numerous studies indicate that children who lack male influence are more likely to experience long-term behavioral challenges. Conversely, those with actively involved fathers or male figures tend to perform better academically, as evidenced by higher IQ scores.
I also discovered a concerning connection between various societal issues, such as alcoholism, and the absence of engaged fathers. Recognizing this urgent need, I made it my mission to not only actively participate in my own children's lives but also to advocate for the transformative power of committed fatherhood. I strive to empower fathers to become better caregivers, encourage men to embrace their responsibilities, and guide young boys on their journey to becoming responsible men and, eventually, fathers themselves.
My vision is to foster a brighter future for our communities. I believe that strong men build strong families, and strong families are the foundation of resilient communities. By spreading this message and providing support and training, I hope to contribute to a cycle of positive influence that will enrich lives for generations to come.
